Privacy notice
Last updated: 11 October 2026
This notice explains how Superjolt Limited (“Superjolt”, “we”) uses your personal data when you visit superjolt.co.uk or join our waitlist. We are the data controller. We’re registered in England and Wales (company number 17288241), and our registered office is 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, United Kingdom, WC2H 9JQ. You can contact us about privacy at [email protected].
What we collect
- Your email address (required to join the waitlist).
- Anything optional you choose to tell us: your first name, the kinds of shop you’re interested in, whether you already sell online, and how you heard about us.
- Whether you ticked the box to receive updates and tips, the exact wording you agreed to, and when.
- Your referral link, and who referred you (if anyone).
- How you arrived at the site: the referring website and any campaign tags in the link (for example utm_source).
- If you accept analytics cookies: your Google Analytics identifier and how you use the site (see our cookie policy).
- Your IP address, used briefly in memory to stop automated abuse of the sign-up form. We don’t store it.
How we use it, and our lawful basis
- Running the waitlist: confirming your email address, keeping your place, working out your position, and emailing you when we launch. Lawful basis: legitimate interests (you asked to join, and you’d expect to hear when we open).
- Updates and selling tips: only if you ticked the box. Lawful basis: consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email.
- Understanding what works: which channels bring people to the waitlist, and the interests people share, so we build the right shops. Lawful basis: legitimate interests. Analytics cookies are only used with your consent.
- Security: preventing spam and abuse of the form. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.
We don’t sell your data, and we don’t use it for automated decisions that affect you.
Who we share it with
We use trusted service providers who process data on our behalf, under contracts that require them to protect it:
- Amazon Web Services (hosting in London, and Amazon SES for sending and receiving our emails in Ireland).
- Cloudflare (website delivery and security).
- Google (Google Analytics), only if you accept analytics cookies.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, the transfer is covered by UK adequacy regulations (such as the UK–US data bridge) or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.
How long we keep it
- If you don’t confirm your email address, we delete your sign-up after 30 days.
- Confirmed waitlist details are kept until 12 months after we launch, or until you ask us to delete them, whichever is sooner. If you become a customer, our customer privacy notice takes over.
- If you unsubscribe, we keep a record that you did so, so we don’t email you updates again.
Your rights
You have the right to access your data, correct it, have it deleted, restrict or object to how we use it, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time. Email [email protected] and we’ll respond within one month.
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Children
The waitlist is for adults planning to run a business. It isn’t intended for anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this notice, we’ll update the date at the top, and tell you by email if the change is significant.
